Scottie's Story: No Period For Over 1.5+ Years....
Meet Scottie :)
Isn’t she beautiful?? I’m really excited to share her story with you today. She’s been through a lot (that I think many of you can relate to), so I hope her story inspires you to take care of yourself and take the steps necessary to do so.
Like a lot of younger girls, Scottie started having an obsessive relationship with food in her early teen years. This went on for years, turning into lots of restriction, trying to consume super low calorie amounts of food, ending up binging all the time and basically having everything in her life revolving around food. She would get upset and frustrated if people invited her out to eat, felt guilt when she ate something she considered “unhealthy” foods, and felt the need to workout more if she consumed more calories than normal. She was walking over 20,000 steps per day, working out 5 days per week, and would go on day-long hikes with her husband. She was even so unhappy with her body that she decided to get breast implants when she was 19.
As for her period, she got her first one at 12 years old and went on different forms of birth control beginning at the age of 14. She would have her natural period, then lose it, then get it back, then lose it, until it finally stopped for over a year and a half.
She came to me wanting to fix this because she realized that things had gone a little overboard and she needed a change. She was stressed over work, she was easily irritated, her whole life revolved around her workouts and her diet, her sex drive was nonexistent for the last 3-4 years, and she was just tired of it all.
So, we did a consultation and worked on a lot of different physical and mental things. All she wanted was to “be happy” - she didn’t want to be irritable, unsatisfied, and easily frustrated anymore. She wanted to relax, increase her sex drive and connection with her husband and just enjoy life… Which is exactly what we did.
We created a specific plan just for her, focusing on changing different things with her daily routine, mindset and overall outlook on life, and the results were pretty incredible.
Just a month into her plan, she started spotting. And then after just two months, she had a full blown period for the first time in over 1.5+ years! Not only that, but her entire life changed - she started going out with friends again, her entire attitude changed, she started sleeping better, the sex and connection with her husband did a 180, and she started to actually enjoy life again.
Like I always say, yes, getting your period back is HUGE, but that’s just the icing on the cake - actually being happy, enjoying life, feeling good and being truly mentally and physically healthy is the best feeling in the world.
